Wimberley Voices" will be published in paperback book form before Christmas by the Wimberley Village Library.
The Library is now seeking contributions for the book. Deadline for receipt of the works is Sept. 1, 2015.
The contents of the book will be about Wimberley.
Funds raised by sales will benefit the Wimberley Village Library, which is operated by a publicly funded library district.
What will be published in the book: Essays, fiction, nonfiction, letters, interviews, poems, tall tales, true stories, remembrances, songs – any kind of written material with Wimberley as subject matter.
Maximum length for submissions is 3,000 words.
The book will be edited by Carroll Wilson, the library's circulation director. Wilson has 45 years of experience as a book, newspaper and TV editor. He has taught editing at West Texas A&M University, Baylor University and the University of Texas at Austin.
Submissions must be provided as Microsoft Word documents and may be sent to Wilson via e-mail or other electronic means. Paper documents will not be accepted.
