Wimberley Village Library Volunteer Program
Volunteers are an important part of Wimberley Village Library. Without the help of volunteers, it wouldn’t be possible for the library to maintain its high level of service. Here are a few of the tasks volunteers help with:
- Shelving collection items
- Assisting patrons and checking items in and out at the Circulation Desk
- Processing collection items to get them shelf-ready
- Helping patrons with computer issues
- Cataloging
- Creating displays

Jr. Volunteer Program
The Wimberley Village Library has an excellent junior volunteer program. To be eligible for this program youth must be entering grades 8 and up. All volunteers are required to fill out an application and acquire two teacher references. The general duties of junior volunteers are: assist with shelving, displays, straightening and assembling craft packages. Junior volunteers work in 1 to 2 hour shifts.
This is a great opportunity to get some work experience, serve your community and learn about the library. Junior Volunteers who complete 16 hours of service receive a picture resume for future references. Please download and complete the Jr. Volunteer Application Form and the Reference Form and return to the Wimberley Village Library.
